**🗺️ Getting Around Hua Hin** Hua Hin is compact, but traffic can slow you down, so plan your transport wisely. Songthaews (shared trucks) run along the main routes for 10-20 baht, while metered taxis are scarce; use Grab or Bolt instead. A motorbike taxi across town takes 10-15 minutes and costs around 50-100 baht. For day trips, hiring a private car with driver for 8 hours costs about 1,500-2,000 baht. **🏖️ Day 1: Beach and Town** Start your morning at Hua Hin Beach near the Centara Grand, where the sand is cleanest and you can rent a sun lounger for 100 baht. Around 11:00, walk to the nearby Hua Hin Fishing Pier and have lunch at one of the seafood restaurants, like Lung Ja Seafood, where a plate of grilled prawns costs about 250 baht. After lunch, explore the Hua Hin Railway Station, one of Thailand's oldest, then check into your hotel. In the evening, head to the Night Market (open daily from 5 PM) for cheap eats and souvenirs. **⛰️ Day 2: Temples and Viewpoints** Begin early at Wat Huay Mongkol, about 20 km west of town, to see the giant Luang Phor Thuad statue before the crowds arrive; a Grab there takes 30 minutes and costs around 250 baht. Then continue to Phraya Nakhon Cave in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, a 45-minute drive further south. The hike to the cave takes 30 minutes uphill, and the entry fee is 200 baht. On your way back, stop at the Rajabhakti Park to see the seven giant king statues. Return to Hua Hin by 6 PM for dinner at Baan Itsara, a riverside restaurant with mains from 150 baht. **🍜 Day 3: Markets and Local Life** Spend your final morning at the Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market (open 9 AM to 6 PM), where you can take a boat ride for 100 baht and sample local snacks. Then visit the Venezia Hua Hin, a Venetian-themed shopping village, about 15 minutes away by car. For lunch, try the Cicada Market (open Friday to Sunday, 4 PM to 11 PM) if your visit aligns, or head to the Chatchai Market for fresh fruit and Thai sweets. In the afternoon, relax at Suan Son Pradipat Beach, a quiet spot favored by locals, before your departure. **🍽️ Where to Eat** Hua Hin has a great food scene, from street stalls to fine dining. For breakfast, try the Danish Bakery on Naresdamri Road, where a pastry and coffee costs about 120 baht. Lunch at Jek Pia, a Michelin-recommended spot, offers crab omelette for 200 baht. Dinner at Oceanside Beach Club is pricier but has a great view; expect to pay 500-800 baht per person. Don't miss the mango sticky rice from a street vendor near the Night Market for 60 baht. **🏨 Where to Stay** Accommodation in Hua Hin ranges from budget guesthouses to luxury resorts. For budget travelers, Baan Manthana Hotel offers clean rooms from 800 baht per night. Mid-range options like G Hua Hin Resort & Mall have rooms from 2,500 baht and a rooftop pool. Luxury seekers can book the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, with rates starting at 5,000 baht. Book early for the best rates, especially during high season from November to February. **💡 Practical Tips** Hua Hin is generally safe, but watch out for traffic when crossing streets. The sun is strong, so bring sunscreen and a hat. Carry cash as many small vendors don't accept cards. Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated; 20-50 baht is fine for good service. Learn a few Thai phrases like 'sawasdee' (hello) and 'khop khun' (thank you) to connect with locals.
