**🏖️ Beaches and Water Fun** Hua Hin Beach stretches for over 5 kilometers, with the northern end near the Hilton offering calm waters for swimming and the southern end near Khao Takiab popular for kiteboarding. Rent a jet ski for about 1,500 THB per 30 minutes or join a stand-up paddleboard tour for 800 THB. For a quieter scene, head to Suan Son Pradipat Beach, a 15-minute drive south, where you can rent a lounger for 100 THB and order fresh seafood from nearby stalls. **⛰️ Temples and Viewpoints** Wat Khao Takiab sits atop a hill at the southern end of Hua Hin Beach, offering panoramic views of the coastline and a large standing Buddha. Entry is free, but donations are appreciated; it's open daily from 6 AM to 6 PM. For a more secluded temple, visit Wat Khao Tao, about 20 minutes south, where you can climb the 200-step staircase to a hilltop shrine with sweeping views of the Gulf of Thailand. **🛍️ Markets and Shopping** The Cicada Market (open Friday to Sunday, 4 PM to 11 PM) is a trendy night market with handmade crafts, live music, and food stalls; it's located on Phetkasem Road, about 3 km south of the center. For a more local experience, the Hua Hin Night Market (open daily from 5 PM to midnight) on Dechanuchit Road offers cheap eats, souvenirs, and clothing. Don't miss the weekend Tamarind Market next door for vintage items and art. **🍜 Local Food and Drink** Hua Hin is famous for its seafood, and the restaurants along Naresdamri Road serve fresh catches like grilled prawns and crab curry at reasonable prices. For authentic Thai dishes, try the family-run Jek Pia, a shophouse on Soi 51 that's been serving Hainanese-style chicken rice for over 50 years. Coffee lovers should visit the hipster cafes on Soi 88, such as Baan Itsara, which roasts its own beans and offers a cozy garden setting. **🏛️ Cultural and Historical Sites** The Mrigadayavan Palace, a summer residence built by King Vajiravudh in the 1920s, is a beautiful teakwood structure open to the public from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (closed Wednesdays). Entry costs 30 THB for adults. Another must-visit is the Hua Hin Railway Station, one of Thailand's oldest, with its iconic royal waiting room and easy access to the town center. **🌿 Nature and Parks** Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, about an hour's drive south, is home to the stunning Phraya Nakhon Cave with its royal pavilion. The park entrance fee is 200 THB for adults. Closer to town, the Queen Sirikit Park (also known as the King's Park) offers a peaceful escape with a lake, jogging paths, and a variety of birdlife; it's free to enter and open from 5 AM to 9 PM. **🎢 Family Activities** Vana Nava Water Jungle is a large water park with slides, a wave pool, and a ropes course; tickets start at 1,200 THB for adults and 900 THB for children. For animal lovers, the Hutsadin Elephant Foundation rescues and cares for elephants; visits include feeding and walking with the animals for a donation of 500 THB. The Hua Hin Hills Vineyard offers a family-friendly tour and wine tasting (for adults) with beautiful views, about 45 minutes from town. **🌅 Evening Entertainment** As the sun sets, head to the Hua Hin Night Market for street food and shopping, or catch a cabaret show at the Hua Hin Cabaret (tickets from 500 THB) featuring talented performers. For a more relaxed evening, enjoy a cocktail at the Sky Bar at the Hilton Hua Hin, which offers 360-degree views of the city and sea. Live music can be found at bars along Soi Bintabaht, the main nightlife street.
